Carbon Policy

Policy Goals

Reduce our CO2 emissions per employee by at least 20% over the next 5 years, compared to our baseline emissions in 2023, not including emissions due to our manufacturing and related logistics and distribution activities.

By 2028, reduce or offset at least 30% of the emissions due to our manufacturing and related logistics and distributions activities through the purchase of low-carbon electricity, of carbon credits or other approved offsetting mechanisms.

Promote the use of low-carbon transportation options and, whenever possible, substitute it with low-carbon options such as videoconferencing when possible.

Policy Implementation

Monitoring

Designate a carbon management referent that will oversee the implementation of this policy and track our progress towards our goals.

Starting in 2023, conduct an annual review of our carbon emissions and develop a plan to reduce them in line with our goals.

Acting

Encourage employees to reduce their own carbon footprints by providing resources and support for low-carbon transportation options and reducing energy consumption in the office.

Offer incentives for employees who take steps to reduce their own carbon emissions, such as using public transportation or carpooling.

Work with travel providers to identify and promote low-carbon travel options, such as carbon-neutral flights.

Identify and work with a carbon offset organization (reforestation, direct capture, etc.) to act on remaining emissions by purchasing carbon credits or other approved offsetting mechanisms.

Policy Main Challenges

We recognize that a few significant challenges exist in implementing our policy. These identified challenges are:

Addressing the challenge of transatlantic flights for our employees

Addressing our manufacturing, logistics, and distribution emissions as we scale manufacturing operations

Monitoring and working on these challenges will be an essential part of this effort, and we will continue to work towards finding solutions that allow us to meet our goals while also supporting the needs of our business.

By implementing this policy, we hope to demonstrate our commitment to acting in accordance with the Paris climate agreements and reducing our impact on the environment.
